DENPASAR – In an effort to strengthen ethical oversight and integrity in Indonesian healthcare research, the Indonesian Association for the Study of Medicinals (IASMED), in collaboration with Prodia Diacro Laboratories (Prodia The CRO), successfully hosted an intensive training program for the Health Research Ethics Committee of RSUP Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah.
The event, which took place on May 11 and 13, 2026, aimed to update committee members on rapidly evolving national and international regulatory standards.
Ensuring Subject Safety and Data Integrity
As a primary referral hospital, RSUP Prof. Ngoerah remains committed to establishing itself as a center of excellence for clinical research. This training focused on the vital role of the Ethics Committee in protecting the rights, safety, and well-being of research subjects, while simultaneously ensuring that all generated data is valid and credible.
A representative from IASMED emphasized that a profound understanding of ethics is not merely an administrative obligation, but the foundational pillar of medical advancement. Meanwhile, the expert team from Prodia The CRO shared industry and technical perspectives on clinical trial governance in alignment with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
