Prodia the CRO, 2015 Frost and Sullivan Indonesia Contract Research Organization

Prodia DiaCRO Laboratories (Prodia the CRO) has won the “Contract Research Organization of The Year” for the second consecutive time at the 2015 Frost and Sullivan Indonesia Excellence Award. This event was organized by Frost and Sullivan on Thursday, October 1st, 2015 at the Sangri-la Hotel in Jakarta. The award was representatively given to Erizal Sugiono, Ph.D (General Manager of Prodia the CRO).

Prodia DiaCRO Laboratories is the first local contract research organization (CRO) that established for almost 8 years in Indonesia. Currently this company has been operating not only as a CRO, but also as a newly established site management organization (SMO). As a CRO, Prodia the CRO has been working with 475 investigators and 146 sites across Indonesia. As an SMO, Prodia the CRO work to intensify Indonesian site capacity in order to develop “World Class Trial Site”. To establish this, Prodia the CRO in collaboration with 6 public hospitals such as Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital (Purwokerto), Hasanuddin University Hospital (Makassar), Dr. M. Djamil Hospital (Padang), Dr. Hasan Sadikin Hospital (Bandung), Sanglah Hospital (Denpasar) and Dr. Sardjito Hospital (Yogyakarta) are on progress in establishing Clinical Research Unit (CRU) and improving site management by providing high quality study coordinators.

This is the 8th year of Frost & Sullivan to identify various outstanding companies across Indonesia. A total of 52 awards were given to selected companies based in Indonesia. The awards are presented in the following sectors such as healthcare, food, building and environment, power, logistic and ICT. Its intention is to help drive innovation, excellence and a positive change in global economy by recognizing best-in-class products, companies and individual.

Spike Choo, Country Director, Frost & Sullivan Indonesia said, “We have seen some outstanding performance by Indonesian firms in driving growth locally and regionally. We are delighted to be able to share and showcase Indonesia’s best companies in their respective fields at the awards ceremony tonight,” he added.

The awarded companies were evaluated on actual market performance indicators which include : revenue growth, market share in specific category and growth in market share, demonstrated leadership in new product introduction and innovation, breadth of products and solutions, major customer acquisitions, subscribers and growth in subscriber base and business/market strategy.
